CO. V' L'iivj oyittt i-i hi I I Adolph R. Morales "Aland Sonny" Born April 24, 1934, passed away February 18, 2012. He was 77 years old, was a loving husband, father, grandfather and greatgrandfather. Adolph is survived by his wife of 51 years, Olga; daughter, Cecilia (Jose Manuel, Sr.) Martinez; sons, Mark A.

Morales and Richard G. Morales; two grandchildren, Vinenessa E. Martinez and Jose Manuel, Jr. (Cherie); great-grandchild, Celine. Adolph also had five loving brothers, three deceased sisters and one living sister.

Adolph also served in the Army in the Korean War where he was drafted into the war, and sent to culinary School to become a chef. He was awarded a Good Conduct Award. He later moved to Tucson, Arizona where he met our mother, Olga and started working for Sunnyside Unified School District where he later retired from. He was awarded a plaque by the Governing Board for recognition of 27 years of service to the students of S.S.U.S.D. Adolph "Al" will certainly be missed by family and friends.

He lived a long and fruitful life. Visitation will be held Sunday, February 26, 2012, 5:00 p.m. 10:00 p.m. at CARRILLO'S TUCSON MORTUARY (South Chapel) 240 S. Stone with a Rosary recited at 7:00 p.m.

She was born on March 25, 1931, in San Bernardino, California to Gertrude and Frank Hunt. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Thomas Cox; daughter, Kellie Dickens (Chuck) granddaughter, Erin Reed (Clint); grandson, Brett (Kristina); great-granddaughter, Kyleigh; great-grandson, Brawnson; grandson, Bryant (Jade); daughter, Cynthia Jameson; son, Jim; grandson, Kurt; grandson, Seth and daughter-in-law, Sherri Cox; son, Tom; grandson, Westin and granddaughter, Meghan. She is also survived by her sister, Helen Johnson and nine nieces.

She was preceded in death by her parents and son-in-law, Bob Jameson. She was born Tressa Marie Hunt her name as pretty and unique as she. Leaving southern California and arriving in Tucson in her early high school years, she met and fell in love with Tommy Cox. After high school (Tucson High) she entered the Nurse Training Program at Good Samaritan Hospital in Phoenix and became a registered nurse. In 1951, she hopped in Tom's brand new Ford and rode to Florence, Arizona, to get married and began their 60-year adventure together which included four children, seven grandchildren and two greatgrandchildren; as well as traveling around the country in a station wagon and truck camper and visiting Norway, Ireland, England, Germany and Italy.

Together, Tom and Tressa also built a second home in the White Mountains of Arizona splitting their retirement years between Tucson and Show Low. The best mother, partner and grandma that anyone could ask for, Tressa raised us not with an iron fist but a firm and gentle hand, letting us grow as individuals but keeping us pointed in the right direction. We will miss her dearly and love her very much though you are far off now, in our hearts you are just right around the corner. And your heart for marrying her. Tressa was such a kindhearted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt.

She will be so truly missed by her immediate family, relatives and the many, many friends she was blessed to have. A Memorial Service to reflect on and celebrate Tressa's life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 25, 2012 at St. Mark's Presbyterian Church, 3809 E. Third Tucson, Arizona.

Betty Jo Lewis 1261924-2172012 Born in the small town of Bartlett in the southern Missouri Ozarks, Jo was the eighth youngest of ten siblings born to Ernest and Esther Webb. She was the last of her family to join her parents, brothers and sisters, all of whom preceded her in death. After her husband's retirement from the USMC in 1969, Jo and Bud settled in Tucson, where they embraced the Sonoran Desert and its active lifestyle.

Jo enjoyed playing bridge with many friends and continued her passion for golf as a member of the 49ers Golf Country Club, and other women's golfing groups. She was also very active in real estate, both as a licensed real estate Broker and Office Manager. Jo was a devoted wife and loving mother who always sought the positive side of life. She enjoyed her six grandchildren, traveling and visiting different parts of the country. She loved life and had a keen sense of humor.

Her strong conviction that you could do anything if you set your mind to it was an inspiration to her friends and family, who will all miss her positive attitude. She is survived by her loving husband of 69 years, Bud Lewis and her three children, Kent Lewis, Jodi Chapman (Swain) and Lisa LePage (Mike) in addition to six grandchildren, Aaron Lewis (Malina), Jeffrey Lewis (Maritza), Steffani Chapman, Erik Chapman, Michael LePage and Jonathan LePage. A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, February 24, 2012 at ADAIR FUNERAL HOMES, Dodge Chapel, 1050 N. Dodge one block south of Speedway in Tucson, AZ.

(www.alz.orq) tAfiVj i-i IV pjttl hi I il Tom Howard Martindale was born August 14, 1938 as John Alexander Lyle, in Youngstown, Ohio, son of Virginia Lyle and Dominic Bertolini; later he was adopted by Anna Marie and Howard Johnson Martindale. Martindale was a graduate of Boardman High School and later earned a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Youngstown College (now Youngstown State University) where he was a member of the Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War where he was stationed in both Da Nang and Pleiku. Upon his return he married Carolyn Lee Cox.

Martindale served as Bursar of Youngstown State University for 32 years, retiring in 1995. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in New Middletown Ohio. Martindale was an avid gardener and an honorary member of the Holborn Herb Growers Guild. He was also member of the Association for Research and Enlightenment (ARE) for over 20 years and an active participant in weekly ARE study groups. Upon retirement, Martindale moved to Tucson, Arizona where he volunteered his time at the Tucson Botanical Gardens and St.

Joseph Hospital. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Carolyn; his son, Tom Howard Martindale II; his daughter, Holly Martindale and sister, Corie Sedgewick. Paul was a professional musician for 70 years and owner and operator of ACE Hardware stores in Tombstone and Sunsites, AZ. Daughter of Hazel Jarrett Connor and Albert Alexander Connor. She was a proud Cherokee-Delaware American.

Upon graduating from Capitol Hill High School, OK City, she worked at Douglass Aircraft and at the outbreak of WWII, enlisted in the US Army Air Force and was stationed at Love Field, Dallas, TX. After the war she lived in Corpus Christi, TX, where she met and married Walter J. Grace III. In 1961 they moved to Tucson where she was active in the Republican Party and wrote prolifically for several newspapers. She was instrumental in supporting and teaching in the Head Start program at Manzo School and the Adult Education program there as well.

In later years she earned a Masters Degree in counseling guidance from the University of Arizona and practiced in this field for some time, including working with terminally ill patients at St. Mary's Hospice. She is preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Walter J. Grace III, and her son, Michael Alexander Grace, Capt. USMC.

She is survived by her grandson, Sean Alexander Grace; her sister-in-law, Agnes Grace Crump and numerous nieces and nephews and cousins. Patty was an avid golfer and a long time member of the Oro Valley Country Club.

She leaves behind many dear friends. She is survived by her loving son, Jerry and daughter-in-law, Danielle Griffin. A Celebration of her life will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 23, 2012 at OVCC. We love you mom, and know you are in a better place.

V' tfi (I S-l HJYil tM 1 1 Roger Hixon Our family says good-bye to Roger Hixon, wonderful husband, loving father and greatgrandfather Roger was born in Kansas on January 14, 1916 and died Saturday, February 18, 2012. He was 96. He lived in Illinois, Indiana and Arizona and recently moved to Palm Beach Gardens, FL.

Roger was a true member of the greatest generation, serving in the Navy in the Pacific in WWII. He was married to Emily for 64 years and has two surviving children, Steve (wife Darlene) of Dallas, Texas and Margie Adams (husband Mike) of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. He has eight grandchildren: Marion, David and Rebecca Hixon; Matthew, Amanda and Sarah Adams and Cindy and Brian Whitten. Mr. Hixon is preceded in death by his daughter, Joann Whitten.

Roger loved Jesus Christ, having come into a relationship with him in 1972. He loved his family, and all who knew him knew he loved golf and played every week for over 70 years. His favorite things were represented in faith, family, foursomes of golf and flowering gardens. The Funeral Service will be held Thursday, February 23, 2012 at 12:00 p.m. at HOWARD-PRICE FUNERAL HOME, North Palm Beach, Florida, Visitation with the family will be on Thursday, February 23, 2012 from 11:00 a.m.

Janet was born in Lawton, Oklahoma on October 25, 1940 and graduated from Altus High School. She first attended Lindenwood College in Missouri, and then went to the University of Oklahoma where she met and married Jerry Frank Rutledge. They resided in Oklahoma City and raised their two children, Tracy Lynn Rutledge and Jim "Click" Rutledge. Click is a devoted son who, among caregivers and family, was by her bedside at the time of her death. Jerry Rutledge and her daughter, Tracy preceded her in death.

Janet is survived by Tracy's son, Harley Rhett Rutledge; her brother, James Harley Click and sister-in-law, Vicki Click of Tucson, Arizona; her sister, Jill Click King and brother-in-law, Tom King of Oklahoma City and her brother, Joel Thomas Click and sister-in-law, Lalia Click of Nashville, Tennessee. Janet was loved by many cousins, uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and friends. She was an accomplished snow and water skier, tennis player, sailor, and gourmet cook. There is no denying her sense of humor that was magnified by her infectious laugh. She appreciated each day and reveled in the beauty offered by the surrounding desert.

She will be dearly missed. The family would like to give special thanks to Janet's wonderful caregivers, Ruth and Candy. A private family ceremony is beinq planned. vnrlrqjEYJ'i'n linn EBurvkjnp James Shepard Styron born on January 30, 1926, has left this earth to join his beloved wife, Delia, in heaven. Jim graduated from M.l.T. with a degree in Chemical Engineering. He worked for Carrier Corporation in Syracuse, NY, for several years before retiring to Tucson, AZ, in 1986 where he was a realtor with Long Realty.

He loved golf, bridge, reading and animals. He donated to several animal rescue organizations. He was a kind hearted man who will be missed. He is survived by his stepdaughter, Donna Morgan; granddaughters, Kristy Morgan, Dana Morgan Fady and greatgrandchildren, Bennett and Makena Fady of Dallas, TX and one niece, Pat Chacon of Tucson. May he rest in peace forever more.

Born on August 29, 1933, to Roy and Clarissa Avis in Iowa City. He is now in the arms of our Lord, after his battle of illnesses at home with his family at his side. Bud was a devoted and loving husband to his wife, Wanda, of 60 years and a father of five children, Jim, Jack, Jane, Jon and Judy. He had nine grandchildren and 18 greatgrandchildren. He had two brothers, Mike and Wayne and sister, Carol.

While in Iowa, Bud owned Roy Avis Construction Co. The family moved to Arizona in 1970 and purchased Wilmot Sand and Gravel and operated a redi-mix plant. Bud enjoyed his family and taught them knowledge and skills in the Construction Industries. Bud had many close friends and business associates. Bud was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Carol and his first son, Jim.

Bud and Wanda were active members of Bethel Baptist Church, 11040 E. Escalante where his family and friends will hold his Celebration of Life, on Friday, February 24, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. 11:00 a.m. at the church.

His Graveside Service will be in the Garden of Memories in Waterloo, Iowa. Bud's wife Wanda, his family and friends will greatly miss him, but our love goes with him, to his final resting place in Heaven. He loved the outdoors, fishing was his passion. Preceded in death by his beloved wife, Betty of 61 years; his parents, Joseph and Mary; sister, Ann and brothers, Joseph, Steve and John.

Survived by his brother, Father Sylvester of Northern Cambria, PA; sisters-in-law, Mercie, Ethel, Shirley and Miriam and brother-in-law, Don. Though he had no children of his own, many call him our second dad and second grandpa. Herm will be greatly missed by all friends and family who knew and loved him. She is survived by two children, Erik (Dara Less) and Stacy (Moti Kahana); five cherished grandchildren, David, Miki, Yarden, Raya and Michael; her brother, Larry Chanen (Jack Burkhalter); her 93-year-old mother, Anne and many cousins and dear friends.

She is predeceased by her loving husband, Michael and her father, Hyman. Born and raised in Philadelphia, Rochelle moved to Pittsburgh with Michael, and eventually settled in Tucson in 1977, where she raised her family. Rochelle has friends from all over, but considered Tucson her home. Her connections in Tucson extend from her many years of work at Southwest Gas Company to her deep involvement in the Jewish Community, especially Congregation Anshei Israel. Rochelle will be dearly missed.

We will remember her warmth, boundless kindness, big smile, lilting singing voice, and cheerful disposition. We will also remember her inner strength: in the face of her husband's long illness; as a working mother; as a widow; and, in the end, fighting for her own health. Tom is survived by his wife, Jutta Buschang; children, Sunni (Joel) Rudd, David Eagling, Kae Eagling, and Bill (Linda) Eagling; stepdaughters, Linda (Rick) Luitich and Sandy (Mauricio) Morales; grandfather of six and great-grandfather of six. Tom was a retired Navy Chief Gunner's Mate and continued his seafaring ways by helping to restore two tall ships, The Elissa and The Lady Washington.
